This edition of Era di Maggio is a tribute to the stories of extraordinary women, who have inspired a journey in stages between nature, memory and discovery. An itinerary that winds through the flowered paths of the Botanical Garden and, in a very exceptional way, also opens up to some suggestive spaces of Palazzo Corsini.
To enrich the experience, the musical atmospheres created by the young talents of the Liceo Musicale Farnesina, for an even more immersive and engaging journey.

Your journey through flowers and history at Era di Maggio
OPEN DAY BUTTERFLY EDEN – The Butterfly House
At Era di Maggio, the Butterfly House will be open to all visitors. With the expert guidance of biologists, naturalists and entomologists, you will have fun discovering curiosities and peculiarities about butterflies, their life cycles and biodiversity. In addition, it will be the protagonist of a stop dedicated to the entomologist Maria Sybilla Merian.
Palazzo Corsini and its secret rooms
Era di Maggio also reserves a unique opportunity: exceptional access to some areas of Palazzo Corsini, usually closed to the public.
With the dedicated guided tour, you will be able to explore environments rich in history and charm, immersing yourself in the timeless elegance of the palace. In addition, the Corsiniana Library will open its doors to reveal precious book treasures and tell its extraordinary cultural heritage.

Visit the Botanical Garden of Rome and take part in Era di Maggio from 9:00 to 18:30: in the program details you will find the times of the individual activities.
Choose the day carefully because unfortunately it will not be possible to change the ticket.
Your ticket includes free access to the Botanical Garden of Rome and participation to Era di Maggio activities.
If you want to be sure of experiencing the event, without queues and without stress, we recommend that you buy your ticket immediately: thus only will you be sure of being able to enter Era di Maggio and you will be able to do so with a dedicated access.
There is a lot of green space but the Botanical Garden still has a maximum capacity that the organizers are obliged to respect for the correct and safe carrying out of the activities: for this reason, if you have not purchased the ticket online, you risk not being able to take part to Era di Maggio
Those entitled to free entry to Era di Maggio can show up directly at the Botanical Garden of Rome.
Unless otherwise specified, workshops are free but reservations are required: you can do this directly in the areas where the activity you have chosen to follow will take place.
In case of light rainfall, activities will still be carried out: “bad weather does not exist, only the wrong clothes do”. We will wait for you with an umbrella, raincoat and suitable shoes.
Since it is a university botanical garden, according to an international standard, dogs are not allowed.
